This week we have been in an adventure to look for clues to help us workout which season it is at the moment. We found lots of exciting things to help us work it out .

This week we have been drawing our self portraits. We have used mirrors to help us look at our eye, hair and skin colour. 

This week we have been learning about germs and how important it is to wash our hands. 

Our first week in school, we have been making new friends, learning the school rules and having fun. 

We had the best day, we visited the zoo, we saw lots of different animals and we also got to see where they all lived. We even got to go into dino world and see some huge dinosaurs and a volcano. 

Today it was World Cup day. In reception we had lots of fun designing football shirts with our buddies. We also played some tennis, football, hockey and did some dancing. 

Today we read our new story in the forest area , We’re going on a Bear Hunt. We then decided to go on our own bear hunt. We went through the grass, forest, mud, river and some icy snow. We really enjoyed it and we described how each one felt as we walked through it. 

We had a lovely afternoon, we said goodbye to our butterflies and set the, free into the wild.  We have been able to watch each stage of their life cycle and set them free into their natural habitat . But they didn’t want to leave us, they landed on our hands.

We went outside and used natural resources to make our own flower pictures. We got creative and made lots of different variety of flowers, 

Today we had a special delivery arrive, some magic beans with a letter from Jack. He told us what plants need to help them grow. We have planted them and we can’t wait to watch them grow. 

Our caterpillars have arrived and we are so excited to watch them grow and the life cycle come to life.

Yesterday we had lots of grown ups come and join us for our reading cafe. We heard lots of different stories and really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for joining us.
