Here we are grouping objects into sets to make counting them easier.  We grouped them into 2’s, 5’s, 10’s and some of us even tried 3’s.

Year 2 investigate their senses

Today in Year 2 we have been using our senses and talking about the body parts linked to each sense. We tasted different foods, tried to guess what was in each smell pot, listened to some sounds and tried to identify them and built Lego towers while blindfolded.

Our first PE lesson

In PE we will be learning lots of playground games from the past.  Here we are playing ‘stuck in the mud’.  We ran and dodged so quickly, Mrs Cross struggled to get a good picture of us!!  She’ll keep trying so watch this space for better shots in the coming…

Rock Kids 2022

Here we are enjoying ‘Rock Kids’ in the hall.  We learnt all about believing in ourselves!  Our favourite new phrase is YASBA.  This stands for “You’re Awesome So Be Awesome”!!!

Y1 Happy Mount Park Trip

Y1 Trip to Australia

We made our passports and boarding passes ready to board the flight to Australia. We were lucky as we only had a little turbulence on our flight! We got there in record time and explored the landmarks, animals and objects of Australia.

Comparing Lengths

We were using vocab such as long, longer, tall, taller, longest and tallest today to compare lengths and heights of objects. We enjoyed exploring the classroom.
