Signs of spring

We looked at different types of flowers in our Scotforth garden. We spotted daffodils, crocus’ and bluebells too. We looked at how they started- as bulbs.

Spotting Our Horse-chestnut tree changing through the seasons.

When we went on out autumn walk, we spotted the green leaves that had fallen down and collected cookers in their spikey casing.

Today, we were learning about our circulatory system - how the blood moves around our bodies, providing our muscles with oxygen from our lungs. As part of our learning, we looked at some lambs' hearts to investigate how the vessels are linked inside.

Lune Aqueduct Trip

This week, Year 5 went to Lune aqueduct. We learnt more about its history and also went pond dipping. We finished the trip with a McFlurry (a highlight for some of us!).

South lakes zoo trip

Nursery went on a coach to South lakes zoo for the day. We saw lots of animals and enjoyed playing on the park.
