Year 6 have spent the day at Lancaster University, hosted by the Children and Young People’s Partnership, focusing on wellbeing. We began the day thinking about moving on to high school and discussed some of the things that we might be worried about. We then thought about the importance of resilience and having a positive mind-set when faced with challenges.
Following on from this, we all experienced something new - learning to play a new sport, Goalball. This involved being blindfolded and having to listen carefully for where the ball (containing a bell) was heading. Then we went outdoors to take part in a photography challenge, again learning a new skill, as well as having the chance to explore the campus.
