Today we re-enacted the Seder meal, which has been celebrated by Jews for thousands of years. Each food on the Seder plate is symbolic and is there to remind the Jews of their bitter suffering as slaves in Egypt and of how God rescued them.  Some of the food we enjoyed, but some items are deliberately supposed to taste bitter.- these were less popular.

The celebration also includes a retelling of the story, inviting Elijah in and the hunt for the Afikomen. We concluded, as Jewish families often do, by listening to songs which thank God for all he has done for them.
