Today was Scotforth’s book day which was based around the story The Day the Crayons Quit. We wrote a letter to the beige crayon to cheer it up and we made some animations using Scratch.

Today, we have been learning about 3D nets as part of our DT work on packaging. 
 

We have been making different shapes from plasticine to investigate water resistance. We looked at the shapes of boats and fish to make different streamlined shapes that travelled faster through the water.

This week the Worship team led our whole school Worship on Lent. 

We were very lucky to have Julia Donaldson read a traditional tale as part of our literacy topic this week. We also had an illustration masterclass from the famous illustrator, Axel Scheffler.

Thank you to Mrs Kornas who brought in their beautiful pet guinea pigs. We learnt all about how they care for them , what they eat and where they sleep. We all had the option to give them a stroke too!
