This morning, Year 6 had their first taste of badminton. We learnt how to hold the racket, the ready position and then attempted to hit the shuttlecock and return it to our partners! We worked really well together in pairs.

In PE, we have been learning some playground games from the past. Today we played Queenie where we had to throw a ball over our head and the others had to catch and hide it behind their backs. We were very good at hiding the ball!

Friday came all too quickly and after two activities and a final delicious lunch, we headed back to school.

The sun was shining for us again today as we tackled various activities before lunch, including crate stacking, zip wire, rifle shooting and the ever popular obstacle course. In the afternoon we all spent the afternoon on the lake, practising our canoeing and kayaking skills. 

Today we met Chloe who will be our Diddidancevteacher until Christmas. Chloe is teaching us different dance moves alongside helping us to develop our concentration and listening skills.

After months of anticipation we’re here at the Year 6 residential at Lockerbie Manor!  We waved goodbye and set off just after lunch and arrived in time for a tour and our first activities. So far today we’ve tried abseiling, initiative challenges, scavenger hunt and zip wire. Not bad for day one!…
